Born in Edirne - Turkey, in 1972
Studied photography at Istanbul Mimar Sinan University, Fine Arts Faculty and Istanbul Yildiz Technical University. Worked as a photography and press consultant for several TV programs and series of ATV and SHOW TV, Turkey's biggest private channels. Started his freelance advertising photographer career in 1995 and worked for several national and international brands' advertising campaigns.

In 1997 he started to work as a professional diving instructor. He conducted several underwater film and photography shootings of constructions and archeological research projects. He contributed in founding Kuzey Ege Diving School.

Between 2000 and 2003 he also taught photography at MEF International Highschool.

He joined several mixed photography exhibitions and opened his first solo one "Turkey: A Fantasy in D Minor", in September 2003 in Istanbul Lutfi Kirdar Convention and Exhibition Center.

 

 

 

 

In January 2004 he and photographer Christina Drakos from Cyprus hosted "2 Photographers, 1 Exhibition" at Conrad Art Gallery.

Tamer's next exhibition "paris: a panoramic dream" opened on December 5th, 2006, in the Istanbul French Cultural Institute. The exhibition was based on his mostly 360 degree panoramic work. His recent exhibition on panoramic Venice photos opened at the Taksim Art Gallery on November 6th, 2007.

Tamer, who also has several national and international awards, pursues his professional carrier at his production company STUDIO, founded in 2002.
